Eligibility & Process

Nagle Pre-School participates in the central enrolment program managed by the Bayside City Council. Parents can submit their kindergarten registration via the online Bayside Kindergarten Portal between 1 - 30 April in the year prior to their child's attendance.

  • Children enrolling for a 3 year old program must have turned 3 by the 30 April in the year they attend BUT can only attend once they have turned 3. Children who are 3 by the 31 January in the year they attend CAN attend at the commencement of the term                            .
  • Children enrolling for a 4 year old program must turn 4 by the 30 April in the year they attend. A child may start 4 year old kindergarten at the commencement of the kindergarten year even if they have not yet turned 4.

Information on central enrolment, including kindergarten eligibility, registration, offers and acceptance can be obtained from Bayside City Council website at:

  • Bayside Kindergarten Registration
  • Kindergarten Registration Fact Sheet
  • Places for the kindergarten program within the City of Bayside are allocated according to a number of criteria and a computerised weighting priority system is applied.
  • You will be notified if your child has been offered a place at Nagle Pre-School in early June. If accepting an offer for your child to attend Nagle Pre-School, you will need to do this via the Bayside Council Kindergarten Portal. Offers will expire after 7 days if not responded to. Once an acceptance response is recorded on the Bayside Kindergarten Portal, you will then be contacted directly by Nagle Pre-School to finalise your enrolment.

You can also directly contact the Administration Officer at Nagle on admin@naglepreschool.com.au for advice on how to enrol at any other time during the year.

Immunisation Requirements

In 2018 the 'No Jab, No Play' legislation was amended so that an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) is the only form of documentation accepted for the purposes of enrolling a child in an early childhood education and care service.

Previous forms of documentation, for example a letter from a GP or local council, are no longer accepted.
