We have natural elements, rocks, plants, mud and trees. There is a large sandpit where children can dig and build sand castles, a large grass area, play equipment, a vegie patch for gardening and an undercover veranda which provides an area to play out of the rain, wind or sun. There is natural shade and shade sails which provide a sun smart environment. Each group has exclusive use of the outdoor area. The generous funding from our major partner Community Bank Sandringham, enables the Nagle and Regis communities to connect through a wonderful intergenerational program. We hope to build stronger relationships amongst the youngest and oldest in our community, and foster respect across the generations. Together in small groups, children and teachers walk to Regis enabling visits to other places of interest in our Sandringham Village. Nagle received a government grant to help kickstart the project. Mojarra Energy also contributed to the project and installed the solar panels and inverter. In 2023, Bayside Council are undertaking a review of our solar system to ensure it continues to meet the energy needs of the kinder. The children enjoy growing, harvesting and cooking with a variety of vegies and herbs from our thriving kitchen garden. This program was further enhanced in 2019 by Hampton Rotary who generously supported the extension of our vegie patch into the front yard. A Bayside Council initiative in 2019 saw Nagle assessed by 8020Green. This assessment identified opportunities to reduce energy and water use as well as review the ease with which waste can be managed sustainably. Infrastructure sustainability improvements from this report have been presented to Bayside Council which will save both energy and water. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Profoundly deaf from birth, Tracey is proud to be fluent in deaf English, and teaching our 3 and 4 year old children AUSLAN through the Early Learning Language Program. She also engages in deaf mentoring, one on one mental health support and deaf awareness training.
