Funded Kinder

State Government Funding Explained

The Victorian State Government provides kindergarten funding to support every child’s participation in two years of kinder before school. Please read more here.

This funding can only be claimed by one early childhood service.

If your child is attending a sessional kindergarten program at Nagle as well as long day care or any other early learning centre, the sessional kindergarten will claim the Government funding.

Fees and Free Kinder

.Nagle Pre-School has opted into the Free Kinder scheme for 2026, because we strongly believe in the benefits it provides for families and the broader early childhood sector.

However, the Government’s ‘Free Kinder’ scheme does not fully meet the cost of running the quality program that Nagle is committed to delivering.

Bridging the ‘Free Kinder’ shortfall

To ensure Nagle remains able to deliver the quality kindergarten program it prides itself on,

we request all families make a one-off voluntary contribution of

$500 per child for the 2026 year (per term payment options available if requested).

Other Fees
