Virtual Tour

Welcome To Nagle Pre-School from our Educating Team….

We look forward every year to Open Day and showing families our beautiful, community kinder. Open Day is a collaborative morning with families, committee and teachers available to answer questions and show you the fantastic learning environment. We love seeing everyone’s reaction when they see the airy, bright indoors and the wonderful outdoors which allows for all sorts of play and learning.

We have included a virtual tour which gives a snapshot Nagle. It won’t give you the warm and friendly greeting that you will get when you walk in the door but at least a sense of the great community that Nagle is.

If you would like the opportunity to speak to a teacher regarding the program or readiness for kinder you can email our Administration Officer admin@naglepreschool.com.au for more information.

We have a great team of educators who are very interested in professional learning and so are up to date with current best practice in early childhood learning. Nagle is rated ‘Exceeding’ by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority ACECQA

Our timetable allows children to really become comfortable and relaxed as there is no rush in the sessions. We have only one group attend each day, so there is no sharing of the playground and we can use indoors and outdoors throughout the day. This is really great as we don’t have to lock into a schedule. We also have a veranda that allows undercover play on wet days and it means children can choose where to be.

We have many opportunities for children’s learning at Nagle. We have a big focus on sustainability and believe strongly in the benefits of outdoor play. We have also an emphasis on wellbeing and incorporate a yoga program for all groups.

The 4 year old groups have a specialist music teacher visit regularly and we have a community Walk and Visit program to Regis Aged Care that has involved small groups of children visiting the aged care residents as well as visiting the local schools, police station, post office and Community Bank Sandringham our major Sponsor.

Children are involved in cooking and gardening. We have a big focus on literacy and numeracy and this happens every day. We are also teaching about Indigenous culture and incorporating this into play.

We have great connections with the local schools and have reciprocal visits with children and teachers. The local feeder schools are Sandringham Primary, Sacred Heart and Sandringham East as the main ones. We have many families who attend Bayside Playhouse so there are strong links with the local community.

The children have many choices throughout the day and participate in many types of learning experiences. We gather as a group for songs, discussions, games and stories. All groups have a progressive snack time where children eat in small groups. Lunch brings everyone together, the children help to set the tables up and it’s a time for eating and chatting. We have developed lots of quiet spaces indoors and outdoors for children to rest or have a quiet play. We do not have a set rest time, rather the children are offered a story to listen to or quietly do puzzles. It really depends on the individual child or the group and this is flexible.

We look forward to welcoming you in person soon and answering any of your questions at our Open Day. Nagle is a welcoming, friendly, vibrant and caring community to join.

We hope you enjoyed our virtual tour and thank you for taking the time to visit us this way.
